the white ruffle top - a favorite story
Summer 2024
”Instead of producing large quantities that may or may not sell, we create only what the fabric allows, minimizing waste and reducing the environmental impact.
Summer 2024
As Kristine Eline continues its journey of transformation, the success of our White Ruffle Top over the summer has become a shining example of how thoughtful production can create something truly special.
In our commitment to a more conscious production, we took a leap away from our previous production manners and embraced the beauty of working with deadstock materials — an approach that not only aligned with our values but also resonated deeply with our customers.
The White Ruffle Top, made from 100% deadstock cotton satin, encapsulates this shift. Crafted from leftover fabric, this top represented both femininity and elegance while staying true to our mission. But the limited quantities available due to the nature of the fabric turned it into an unexpected hit, and we found ourselves remaking in similar fabrics the top several times over the summer — each restock selling out faster than the last.
The high demand for the White Ruffle Top perfectly illustrates the success of our new approach towards our products. The limited nature of deadstock fabric means that each piece is created in a finite quantity, adding an air of exclusivity and uniqueness. Once the fabric is used up, we cannot recreate the same piece, and that scarcity only deepened the allure of the White Ruffle Top.
What started as a single design quickly evolved into a statement about the future of Kristine Eline. We aren’t just making clothes — we’re telling stories. Each item carries with it a narrative of mindful consumption and a break from a traditional fashion cycle. The White Ruffle Top is more than just a pretty piece; it was a reflection of our dedication to thoughtful production and our belief in creating fashion that lasts and is unique.
While we were thrilled by the overwhelming response to the White Ruffle Top, the challenge of working with limited deadstock fabric became clear. Each time we restocked, we sourced a new batch of leftover fabric, which meant each edition was slightly different, yet equally beautiful. This variation became part of the charm, offering our customers something truly one-of-a-kind.
By making the decision to work exclusively with deadstock materials, we have redefined what it means to manage supply and demand. Instead of producing large quantities that may or may not sell, we create only what the fabric allows, minimizing waste and reducing the environmental impact. This is not just thoughtful towards the materials, but sustainability in practice — a holistic approach that reflects our core values.
”Instead of producing large quantities that may or may not sell, we create only what the fabric allows, minimizing waste and reducing the environmental impact.
As we continue to evolve, the story of the White Ruffle Top serves as a symbol of what Kristine Eline stands for: environmentally friendly, creativity and individuality.
Each purchase of the White Ruffle Top wasn’t just about owning a beautiful garment; it was about supporting a movement toward more mindful fashion. Our customers became part of this journey, celebrating the uniqueness of each limited-edition piece.
Looking ahead, we will continue to focus on creating smaller drops of products using deadstock and leftover fabrics to craft pieces that are both elegant and conscious.
Our approach is rooted in transparency, and we accompany each item on our site with the exact quantity available. This not only fosters trust but also empowers our customers to make informed decisions about their purchases.
The success of the White Ruffle Top has shown us that there is a growing demand for fashion that breaks away from traditional industry norms. Our customers are looking for more than just clothes — they want pieces with a story, with meaning, and with a sustainable impact. The White Ruffle Top was just the beginning of this new direction for us.
As we move forward, Kristine Eline will continue to prioritize conscious production and creativity. We are dedicated to redefining fashion by embracing limited styles, deadstock fabrics, and mindful consumption. Each collection will be a reflection of this ethos, and each piece will carry with it the essence of our commitment to a better, more sustainable fashion industry.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. The White Ruffle Top may be sold out, but our vision for the future is just beginning.
Stay tuned for more limited – edition pieces that celebrate individuality and sustainability.
