about
Kristine Eline is a women's clothing brand based in Copenhagen. The brand was established by the couple Mads Gotthelf Hansen and Kristine Eline Borch-Hansen. In November 2021, the first drop of a total of 4 styles was launched.
The brand was established based on a shared passion for entrepreneurship, independence, and sustainability in both design, business, and daily life. With a dream of challenging the typical approach to conducting business in the fashion industry.
We believe that the journey towards a more sustainable industry should be mutually promoted by industry actors and consumers.
We strive to create a space for honest dialogue about sustainability, business, production, and the challenges that exist. A place where the fashion industry can share knowledge internally and with consumers, but also across sectors. We do not believe in easy solutions but in continuous improvements.
our concept
We work with leftover fabrics from earlier productions in Portugal and create smaller quantities of beautiful limited styles on a more sustainable basis.
Every leftover-fabrics are chosen in alignment with our decision to only work with fibers of natural origin, without synthetic blends or synthetic trim (buttons, zippers, etc.)
Working with deadstock materials has opened our eyes to the potential of bringing more feminine and elegant styles to our customers, while at the same time reducing the risk of overproduction and supply/demand imbalances.
classic / essential
Drawing inspiration from classic wardrobe staples such as the white shirt, the little black dress, and the formal suit, we strive to create new and exciting design solutions that are essential and relevant without being commercial or basic.
natural
Our products are made from natural materials and using ethically responsible dyeing methods. Considerations regarding responsibility are central not only in the production phase but also in the end-of-life phase of the product.
surface design
With each product, we experiment with surface design, small details, and new solutions to put our own stamp on the classic items found in every wardrobe.
